FEATURES
Interior and Exterior Renovation, including shiplap walls and a vaulted wood ceiling
Neurology Consultants of Montgomery purchased a former pediatrician’s office, located in Montgomery, AL. Foshee Architecture had the privilege of working with Marshall Design-Build and the owner to provide architectural services for this renovation project.
The building consists of an existing two-story, wood framed structure. On the exterior, the existing brick was painted. In addition, fiber cement siding replaced the former EIFS finish. Renovations also included a new shingle roof and new fiber cement soffits. Stained tongue and groove woodwork replaced the ceiling of the covered entry. Also, new windows replaced the the existing, damaged windows. Finally, new decorative wall sconces provide additional detail to the facade.
On the interior, the Owner wanted to create a calm, relaxing environment for patients. Therefore, we used a neutral interior color palette, consisting of off-white and sage green. The lobby walls were refinished with painted shiplap. Also, tongue and groove woodwork was used to accentuate the dramatic lobby ceiling. New LVT flooring replaced the existing flooring throughout. Moreover, new cabinets and countertops were installed. The renovations also included cosmetic improvements to the exam rooms. These areas received new lighting, ceilings, baseboards, flooring, cabinetry, and ceiling tiles.
