PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Torch 85 Travel Center is a project that designed the replacement of an existing truck stop. Located near Auburn, AL, the shop is an iconic stop for many travelers . Moreover, the travel center includes a gas pump canopy and a dedicated diesel pump canopy. In addition, the large parking area allows semi-truck drivers a chance to rest and refuel.

Inside, the center includes reach-in drink coolers and a large food retail area. Also, the shop offers a beer cave and a truck supply center to its customers. In addition, food amenities include a full commercial kitchen and food buffet. Likewise, drink offerings include a coffee bar, soda fountain, and stocked coolers. Eat-in dining facilities offer customers a place to rest and relax.

The center offers large restroom facilities. These feature floor to ceiling tile, granite counter tops, and motion activated plumbing fixtures. Also, private shower rooms are provided. The design allows for the restrooms to be easily cleaned.

Further, the design includes a modern interior. The industrial style features warehouse style pendant lights and exposed steel roof joists. Also, polished concrete floors run throughout the space. The design creates a fresh, contemporary space to entice travelers to stop. However, the design also provides a durable, easy to maintain facility for the owners.

Finally, the exterior includes a combination of stone and synthetic stucco. Metal awnings shade the windows. A tall element in the center of the building leads visitors to the main entrance. In addition, multiple entrances provide convenient access into the building. Lastly, large signage directs traffic from the adjacent Interstate.
